The Advantages of Air Tools Nailers
The technology of today provides so many benefits and advantages to people everywhere. While there are woodworkers who enjoy staying true to the old-fashioned methods of woodworking, most have come willingly into the age of convenience. There are all kinds of high powered tools which make our lives, and our jobs, easier. There are power sanders, impact wrenches, electric drills and more. There are even air tools nailers which can efficiently replace your old fashioned hammer. These pneumatic powered nailers, sometimes called nail guns, speed up progress and increase efficiency.
One of the biggest advantages to air powered nail guns is how quickly you can work. Some projects have hundreds, even thousands of nails. For example, most every home building contractor these days will use a pneumatic nailer as the average home uses over 50,000 nails. Even woodworkers who construct smaller projects like furniture can benefit from a tool such as this. You don't have to throw out your old hammer, but you may find you're not using it nearly as much. Another benefit to the pneumatic nailer is the accuracy of the job. The nails are driven into the wood perfectly, every time, as long as the nailer is used properly.
As you can imagine, these devices can be very dangerous. After all, they do shoot out sharp nails at high speeds. Make sure you observe safety precautions each and every time you use a nailer. You should only pull the trigger of a nailer if the nailer is touching the surface to be nailed and is in the proper position. Even though these tools are made to be inaccurate and short range when used otherwise, they can still cause great harm when pointed in the wrong direction. When doing any kind of woodworking, wear safety goggles to protect your eyes. Gloves are also a wise idea to prevent splinters in your hands.
Whether you choose air tools nailers or the traditional hammer and nails for your woodworking is up to you. Some people like the speed and convenience of a pneumatic nailer while others prefer doing things the old fashioned way. If you do choose to buy a nailer, shop around and choose the best model for your needs. There are plenty of them available these days, from trusted names like Black and Decker, Bosch and Craftsman.
